About Me
I am a pool and seaswimming coach and in the final stages of becoming a qualified counsellor. I have had my own swimming company for 5 years and been teaching swimming for 30 years+. I have worked on mental health programs based around seaswimming for the last few years and my clients tell me consistently how much being in water helps them. I also love music, art and good writing.
How did I get into the outdoors?
Nature has always calmed me. I can be quite anxious and being outside soothes my system. I am also creative and the colours and textures, sights and sounds of being outside so inspire me.
Favourite adventure or experience?
I can't think beyond the sunrises and sunsets we get on the beach where I live. They eclipse anything else I can think of for scale and awe.
One mindset or bit of kit I always take with me?
The ability to connect to my breath and the soles of my feet.
What am I looking for?
I will be looking for work from Autumn 2026 onwards and would also love to connect with likeminded souls. I am a fairly gentle, quiet person so I find connecting in a loud, busy job market challenging.
