About Me
I'm an integrative counsellor and Wild Therapist. I specialise in outdoor therapy and with life's transitions, drawing on ideas of biomimicry and nature's cycles as ways of helping bring awareness and acceptance to the therapeutic process.
How did I get into the outdoors?
I feel most alive and most connected to (at peace with) myself when I'm outdoors. Walking, exploring the land, getting lost and finding my way home - these ways of being out in the world have helped me to navigate challenging times in my life. There is infinite opportunity for awe and fascination outdoors - something beautiful or gross to observe, wild food to forage, textures to touch. And I don't feel judged by the forest, the sea, the mountains. I feel held and accepted as I am in whatever way that may be.
Favourite adventure or experience?
Undertaking a year long Wild Therapy training - 4 residential sessions in Lancashire and Bristol, connecting with movement, embodiment, animals, storytelling, ritual and ways to be with our wild selves. It was completely transformative and allowed space for a lot of grief, fear and anger to live within me more comfortably.
One mindset or bit of kit I always take with me?
I always have at least one stone in my pocket! Treasures from past travels...
What am I looking for?
Collaboration- blogs or podcast. I also offer group facilitation (away days, nature connection, self development workshops, team building) as well as individual therapy. I can hold bespoke group and individual workshops and circles. For example, creative and nature connection self development focused, walking journeys, death cafes and grief circles. I also deliver a day long in person Introduction to Outdoor Therapy training for counsellors, and a half day online taster intro for trainee counsellors through The Wild Space Kent project.
