Meet Caitlin
Caitlin Longden 📍Llangurig, Mid Wales
About Me
Hello everyone! I’m Caitlin Longden, a freelance photographer and filmmaker based in Mid Wales. I’ve moved to beautiful Cymru, escaping London’s suburbia to embrace a life aligned with my dreams of being a mystical woodland dweller… living with the land and my camera in hand!
I love all things nature, adventure, and creativity.
I have a degree in Adventure Filmmaking and am currently working on various outdoor qualifications while also undertaking a long form bushcraft and nature wellbeing facilitation mentorship. This is part of some exciting PhD research on nature connection and digital technologies with Tara Crank.
How did I get into the outdoors?
Rain! I had the urge as a kid to immerse myself in the rain in my back garden wearing nothing except my wellies (cannot confirm or deny whether I still do that…). Later on, foraging in particular helped me cultivate a deep fascination and connection with the outdoors. I am currently fixated on nature therapy, ecopsychology, and bushcraft!
Favourite adventure or experience?
What instantly comes to mind are big and extravagant expeditions, such as sea kayaking in Scotland or multi-pitch climbing adventures. But upon deeper reflection, it has to be the slower, more intimate connections I’ve had in nature such as a humble winter nature connection course I attended. A reminder that bigger doesn’t always mean better!
One mindset or bit of kit I always take with me?
Moisturiser… seriously underrated.
What am I looking for?
Connections! As a wise man once told me, “Your network is your net worth.”
I’m open to freelance film and photography work, including documentary, social media, events, and branded content. I tend to focus on thoughtful storytelling with people, place, and process, but I would also love to hear your epic ideas and bring them to life.
I’m also interested in a skills swap or trading system where we both benefit. Let’s exchange knowledge, experience, and skills to support each other, learn together, and see what we can create collaboratively.
Full of ideas and big aspirations, I’m looking for like minded collaborators to bring larger projects to life. If anything above sparks your curiosity, I’d love to connect!
